Sarah is an assistant professor of education at Stanford University. She studies the teaching and learning of literary interpretation and writing in under-resourced urban high schools, with an emphasis on the links between in- and out-of-school interpretive practices. Before that, she taught English Language Arts at Curie High School in Chicago and worked with fantastic teachers and students. She still has very bad dreams about being late for class.
